In Loving Memory of Destiny Elizabeth Jefferies

Destiny Elizabeth Jefferies departed this life on Friday, May 9, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Born on December 23, 1996, in Boston, Massachusetts, Destiny was the beloved daughter of Joaquin and Ursula Jefferies.

Destiny was a vibrant and active child, running track for the M.L.K. Blasters in San Diego, CA, before joining the Charlotte Heat Track Club. She also showcased her talents as a dancer with the Westerly Hill Elementary School Step Team: F.A.M.E. in Charlotte, NC.

Her achievements included receiving the M.L.K. Peace Marker Award in 2006, as well as the Citizenship Award. Destiny was an Honor Roll student at Westerly Hills Elementary School.

In her brief time with us, Destiny brought immense joy and inspiration to the Charlotte Heat Family with her radiant smile and relentless spirit. She was a true beacon of perseverance and positivity. Destiny will be greatly missed but never forgotten. She remains our team “ANGEL,” watching over us with grace.
